Fabulous Fatbooks

Have you heard of a Fatbook? Are you curious about what they are and where they come from?

Join Dawn E. Shepherd from Mother Rubber Art Stamps for a full day 5-hour introductory class on the latest swap craze for stampers and artists everywhere.

Dawn will cover:

  • What a Fatbook is
  • How they are created
  • General guidelines for most fatbook swaps
  • Recommended materials for fatbooks
  • Yahoo! swap groups to join for swapping

Then, you will embark upon creating your own Fatbook to take home that day! Each participant will make 24 pages in class;

For making the pages, Dawn will cover basic page construction and page enhancements including:

  • Pockets
  • Fold-outs

 and back ground techniques, including:

  • Adirondack/Tim Holtz Color Wash Sprays
  • Tissue Paper layering
  • Stamping (of course!)

When the pages are completed we will bind them together with rings, and have a beautiful creation filled with your art to take home and treasure!

What participants need to bring:

Any favorite stamps, collage papers, tissue papers, or ink pads you would like to use on your pages. Dawn will have plenty of supplies so you are not required to bring anything besides your favorite tools, but this is optional. If you have favorite supplies please feel free to bring them along too.

Come learn about the latest swapping craze and get in on the fun of fabulous Fatbooks!

Please contact us if you would like Dawn to teach this class at a store near you!
